For example, if your dog's nose is dry, it may mean that your dog is dehydrated. This occurs because not enough blood reaches your dog's nose, therefore the humidity level of the nose changes.
When your dog's body is hydrated, his nose will appear moist. This is because there is good blood circulation in your nose. Likewise, when it is red or peeled, it is likely to be some type of fungus or bacteria.
Color of your dog's nose
It is common to observe that most dogs have brown or black noses, but there are dogs that have a pinkish tone on their noses, this peculiar characteristic is common in light-colored dogs.
Dogs that have a pink nose are more prone to infectious diseases at the skin level, since this type of nose is more sensitive to sunlight. Presenting a pathology known as nasal solar dermatitis, which causes inflammation and can be the origin of ulcers in the area of the snout, which are not covered with hair.
Pigmentation and texture changes in your dog's nose
Pigment changes in the tissue of the nose can reveal a health problem, but this is not in all cases. Pigment changes in your dog's nose may also be associated with your pet's breed and age. However, any change in pigmentation should be discussed with the veterinarian.
