Exo Terra for Dragons is a diet formulated to ensure excellent basic nutritional levels for their health and development . It is a complete and balanced diet for dragons and other omnivorous reptiles. All its ingredients have been meticulously selected to guarantee the highest quality and digestibility without adding artificial color or flavor. Exo Terra for Dragons is fortified with optimum levels of vitamins, minerals and amino acids so no other dietary supplements are required.

Exo Terra's granulated food line has been developed with the best nutritional elements in mind. The food is packed in non-transparent bags to maintain its freshness and its natural aroma and flavor. These bags are cheaper and more favorable for the environment (less waste) than larger volume containers and thus protect food from light, thus preventing its vitamins and nutrients from being degraded.
Extruded feed
Extrusion is a process where friction and pressure are combined within an extrusion barrel formed by extreme heating. The heat is used to cook quickly and preserve proteins and carbohydrates. This process improves the availability of these nutrients to the reptiles and increases digestibility and ensures palatability.
Nutritional Protection
A number of nutrients are subject to deterioration when exposed to light. The 'Protected Nutrition' bag prevents the penetration of light, maintaining the nutritional value of the food at its maximum level. All B vitamins, including Folic Acid (green laminates) are destroyed after exposure to light for a week, this happens when packaged in transparent plastic bags. Light also discolors food items, promotes caking deterioration, and prematurely activates enzymes. The 'Protected Nutrition' bag also locks in freshness and aromas.
The closure allows storage after opening with the reduction of the air pocket, prolongs the nutritional value of the food and keeps the flavor and aroma inside. All bags are washed with CO2 to prevent contamination with harmful insects.
Composition: legumes, cereals, glycerin, fish and fish by-products, earthworms, vegetable protein extracts, by-products of vegetable origin, mineral substances, oils and fats, fruit, yeasts (yeast extract 1%) and lecithins.
