If used correctly, Helix Max will kill microalgae and give crystal clear water in aquariums and ponds. They reduce both dormant bacteria and other parasites and the danger of infection among fish.

The Helix Max UV Sterilizer cleans water with the help of ultraviolet radiation. This radiation is emitted by a special lamp. UV-C radiation kills all forms of life that are directly exposed to radiation, microalgae, bacteria, protozoa and other parasites. The result is crystal clear water and healthy fish.
Advantages
Spiral water flow: A unique spiral water flow and the large volume of the Helix Max units ensures optimal water clarification. The water is spirally pushed into the quartz tube with a long contact time. Because of this, UV-C radiation is used in the most efficient way.
Rotating connections: The inlet and outlet connections of the Helix Max can be rotated up to 360º, this saves space and facilitates installation.

The Helix Max UV-C Sterilizer is available in 5 sizes:
- 5 Watts, 9 Watts with 2 meters of cable for freshwater aquariums and
salty
- 18 Watts, 36 Watts and 55 Watts with 10 m of rubber cable and electronic spring for fresh and salt water ponds and aquariums. With electronic ballasts for a long life of the bulbs and also a higher output of UV-C.
For different applications, we recommend different sizes of ponds/aquariums and flow rates. In ponds, the recommended flow rates will not cause sterilization, but the water is clarified by killing microalgae.
precautions
The radiation from UV-C lamps is dangerous. Direct contact with eyes or skin can cause irreparable damage . Therefore, the unit should always be completely unplugged before opening it.
The 9w and 5w Helix Max units will be placed next to the filter, never submerged. The units can only be connected when the water flow is circulating.
If used in a pond, the units should be turned off and removed for the winter to prevent frost damage. Units cannot be placed underwater.
Exploded view
The Helix Max unit comes with clear connecting pieces. This allows you to control the function of the bulbs (blue light, when the UV-C bulb is on).
Depending on the installed pump and the water flow, the connecting pieces can be cut to the desired size (hacksaw).
