Your cat's liver is the largest internal organ and is responsible for removing toxins from the body in addition to many other functions. Prescription Diet l/d was specifically created by veterinarians for the nutritional management of cats with liver disorders that reduce liver function. It is highly digestible, with high-quality protein that reduces the workload on the liver and helps regenerate liver tissue. Added antioxidant nutrients like vitamin E, vitamin C and selenium help fight oxidative stress. It also has an ideal formulation for cats with fatty liver disease (hepatic lipidosis). Prescription Diet l/d's nutritional formulation may also be helpful for pets with a variety of conditions.

Cat Daily Food Guide
These ranges are just a starting point. Your pet may need more or less food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed. If you have any doubts, consult your veterinarian.

Divide the recommended daily amount among several small servings throughout the day.

Keep fresh water available at all times!

With your veterinarian's approval, mix increasing amounts of your pet's new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7-day period.

Feline l/d is also available in cans. It is not necessary to supplement with other foods and doing so may decrease its effectiveness. When using with Feline l/d canned, decrease the amount of dry food to avoid overfeeding.
