For first time users of a Halti or those with a particularly nervous or aggressive dog, we recommend using the Halti Link. For added security, this attaches the Halti to the conventional dog collar.

The Halti has been hailed around the world as the most effective control collar design, naturally following the contours of a dog's face.
Sits well below the dog's nose giving maximum steerage and control for basic training and all other activities with your dog: from a quiet walk to leading an unruly or potentially dangerous dog past animals or people .
Halti's particular advantage over other control-collar designs is that it has a unique on-off muzzle-closure effect: when the dog attempts to lunge forward or attack, its jaws are closed by the slip ring under its chin.
When the dog is relaxed or friendly, he can open his mouth again. Whenever the dog is behaving well he may pant easily, or his tongue and act just like a dog. The soft material and careful design and construction give maximum comfort and, in many dogs, create a pronounced calming effect.
Halti transfers the physical load of a heavy dog to the strongest structures in the head, converting the unwanted forward movement (pulling) into an action that turns the animal.
