Purigen is an exceptional quality synthetic absorbent unlike any other water filtration product. It is not a mixture of absorbent and ion exchange resins, but a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from water at a rate and capacity that is 500% higher than all other products on the market.
This product controls ammonium, nitrites and nitrates extracting nitrogenous organic residues that in the long run will lead to toxic compounds. Cleans the water until it is crystal clear. As it is used, it progressively darkens until it is exhausted, but it can be easily regenerated using bleach. being designed for both fresh and salt water.
Fish, corals and plants produce nitrogenous waste, this product removes this waste faster and more efficiently than any other similar product on the market.
Higher organic removal capacity
Improved filtration capacity thanks to a larger surface area both spherical and macroreticular
Helps control ammonium, nitrite and nitrate
Changes color as it runs out, easily regenerated
Instructions for use
250ml treat approximately 1,000 liters of water. Rinse product before use. Once its filtering power is exhausted, it warns us through a pronounced discoloration of its particles in a dark brown or black tone. For best results, it should be located in a location with high water circulation. It can be used in bottle filters, modular chemical filters, box filters or most external filters.
to regenerate it
Cover in 1:1 solution with household bleach for 24 hours. Place it in a plastic container and in a well ventilated area and above all, out of the reach of children. Then rinse well, then cover for 8 hours with a solution containing two tablespoons of Prime or the equivalent of another type of dechlorinator, per glass of water. Rinse again. For use in fresh water, cover for 4 hours with a solution containing 1 tablespoon of Discus Buffer or Acid Buffer, per glass of water. No buffer is necessary for salt water. After treatment the original color and full activity should be restored and Purigen can be used again.
Some types of sediment or mud can saturate the product, making it difficult to regenerate. Do not reuse the product if a certain smell of chlorine is detected. In case of doubt, soak the product in a small amount of water and measure residual chlorine with a chlorine test.
