Veterinary Diets Feline Renal Fuction is a food specially formulated to help manage chronic renal failure in cats.
Among the diseases that this product helps to treat are chronic renal failure (CRF), liver disease with encephalopathy and promotes the reduction of the recurrence of urate and cystine urinary stones. Its use is not recommended in growth and reproduction phases.
CRI is one of the most common diseases of older cats , especially from 10 years of age.
Chronic kidney disease is made up of 4 different phases
Early kidney disease, reduces glomerular filtration rate and urine concentrating ability
Early renal failure, early/mild early clinical and biochemical complications
Uremic renal failure, there may be various signs of systemic complications
Terminal renal failure, high risk of many signs associated with systemic complications and uremic crises.
Low presence of phosphorus in the formula, helps slow down the progress of CKD and reduces the risk of secondary hyperparathyroidism.
The low presence of high quality protein prevents the formation of uremic toxins.
Very palatable food for cats, helps them comply with treatment.
Reduces the risk of hypokalemia in CKD
Reduces the risk of acidosis in CRF
Prevents vitamin B deficiency
Helps reduce glomerular hypertension and the inflammation produced by it

How to use
It is recommended to make a gradual transition to the new diet of cats affected by CKD, if we see that our cat is not interested in the product, it is good to warm it up a bit. Cats with chronic CRF should be fed Feline NF Renal Fuction indefinitely .
