Reptisun Compact Fluorescent 5 UVB/UVA by Zoomed

Compact fluorescent lamp with a screw base that allows it to be fixed to any lamp holder
standard. They emit UVA, UVB and visible light, but do not release heat. They are highly recommended given their higher W/cm2 ratio compared to fluorescent tubes
conventional which, together with its flexibility of use, allow its placement in specific areas of the terrarium as well as in small-sized terrariums.
Ideal for tropical reptiles and especially suitable for arrow frogs (Dendrobatids) and terrarium plants.

UVB radiation helps prevent or reverse metabolic bone disease, and UVA improves appetite, stimulates sexual behavior and reproduction, and provides emotional well-being by reducing stress.

The lamps have a duration of 6 months . These models have been corrected and do not have toxic effects on the eyes or cause overexposure when used at the indicated distance.

The compact Reptisun lamps have a range of approximately 30 cm , but this increases to about 50 cm if it is attached to a lamp with a reflective aluminum interior or if it is placed on the terrarium in a horizontal position. The model to choose will depend on the requirements of the reptile and the size of the terrarium:

• ReptiSun 5.0 is ideal for tropical reptile and amphibian species, which have a lot of shade in their natural habitat. It has a full spectrum, with a UVB emission of 5% and UVA of 30%. Especially suitable for arrow frogs and terrarium plants.
• ReptiSun 10.0 is recommended for desert species or those that spend a lot of time in the sun. It has a full spectrum, with a UVB emission of 10% and UVA of 30%.
