Treatment duration:
This food is recommended for cats with a tendency to develop tartar or after dental cleaning. It can be supplied throughout the life of the animal.
Sodium polyphosphates capture salivary calcium, and help limit the formation of tartar.
Highly digestible proteins (wheat gluten) limit the fermentation process in the intestine, while reducing flatulence. Rice, a highly digestible starch source, improves the overall digestibility of the ration. Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and beet pulp stimulate the growth of beneficial intestinal flora.
An increase in urine volume simultaneously reduces the saturation of urine with calcium oxalate and struvite.
Psyllium and dietary fibers make it easier to get rid of hairballs and help prevent hairball-related problems like vomiting and constipation.
