Riverbed sand is ideal for different types of terrapins just as it is in the wild. Softshell turtles especially prefer fine sand for burrowing and making their homes. Other types of aquatic and terrestrial reptiles, such as frogs and salamanders, also benefit from this product due to its softness and smoothness. A rough surface, like gravel, can ruin the skin tissue. This sand is very fine and can be easily expelled if swallowed, unlike gravel or pebbles which can cause indigestion. Obtained from a river in Africa, this sand is very fine and is an ideal and safe substrate for aquatic terrariums.

La arena es fina y queda muy natural. Yo la he comprado para meterla en la parte seca de un acuaterrario para tortugas y no es muy funcional ya que cada vez que se mete en el agua saca parte de la arena y se desperdicia, aunque no es su función, la necesitaba para que pusiera huevos. Como sustrato para el agua perfecta.
