Vibrant Sea is a highly concentrated blend of salts formulated for reef and marine aquariums that contains all of the essential major, minor and trace components found in natural marine waters, plus the added bonus of enhanced potassium levels.

Its formulation is ideal for the reef environment and will provide exact seawater concentrations of magnesium, calcium and strontium at the proper alkalinity and pH for closed reef aquarium systems.

Vibrant Sea is an anhydrous salt, which allows for unparalleled consistency from batch to batch, as well as the ability to produce more salt water from less salt. Plus, it's highly soluble and can be mixed and used on the same day.

Instructions for use

Mix Vibrant Sea with deionized or purified water. We recommend the use of a commercial dechlorinator such as Prime to neutralize chlorine and chloramines in tap water. If the quality of the source water is extremely poor, we recommend purification with a Seachem Pinnacle RO/DI system.
To prepare small quantities, add 27 g of Vibrant Sea per 1 liter of water for a specific gravity of 1.020. Add 31 g per 1 liter per 1.023. For larger amounts, use 1/2 cup per 6 L for a specific gravity of 1.020 or 1/2 cup per 5.25 L for 1.023.
Stir well until completely dissolved.or immediate use.">Vibrant Sea is ready for immediate use. Excessive mixing can cause cloudiness. Cloudiness will dissipate when Vibrant Sea solution is added to the aquarium.
Measure the specific gravity. For the reef aquarium 1020 - 1025 is recommended at 24°C 540g of Vibrant Sea is formulated to create 20 liters of saltwater at a specific gravity of 1020 and 620g will create 20 liters at 1023.
Adjust the salt level accordingly. If the specific gravity is too low, add more Vibrant Sea. If it is too high, add more dechlorinated or purified water.
Change 20% of the aquarium water every two weeks (or as needed) to maintain optimal water quality.

Never mix salt in an aquarium that contains animals. In new aquariums transfer animals to the aquarium after the salt has been thoroughly mixed and aerated and the specific gravity has been adjusted. Use Seachem's Stability to avoid "new tank syndrome" and avoid unnecessary animal losses in a new system.

To control pH between water changes use Seachem's Marine Buffer or Reef Buffer. To restore trace elements between water changes, use Seachem's Marine Trace or Reef Trace.
