sera Test Cl (Chlorine)
The liquid Chlorine test will determine what level of Chlorine exists in the water you want to analyze.
When the water is treated so that it is drinkable and reaches our taps clean, it is subjected to mixing with chlorine , which acts as a disinfectant element for microbes and pathogenic viruses that cause diseases.
This remaining chlorine in the water is very harmful to the fish in our aquarium. Attacking the skin and gills and causing burns and making it impossible for them to breathe.
To measure this level of chlorine we use chlorine tests such as this one from the SERA brand, considered one of the few excellent products for this type of measurement.
Its accuracy will reliably guide you to the level your aquarium is exposed to in terms of chlorine.
Keep in mind that every week between 15% and up to 30% (depending on the filter) of the aquarium water is usually changed for a new one, to eliminate part of the nitrates and phosphates that accumulate, poisoning the water for the fish.
For this reason, it is convenient to use a chlorine test from time to time and to be able to control it with a conditioner that eliminates chlorine effectively.
