Indications.
-Daily diet for senior cats (from 8 years).
- SPECIFIC FGD Senior is a nutritional aid to slow down or prevent geriatric diseases in elderly cats.
Properties and functions of its composition.
Great tasting and easy, even to feed sick cats. This prevents wasting and anorexia and keeps the body optimal.
-The moderately reduced content of protein, phosphorus and sodium, reduces renal load and the probability of progression of renal failure in older cats. The high biological value of protein provides the cat with a sufficient supply of essential amino acids.
-EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids with a beneficial effect for maintaining the health of the skin, hair and joints.
-It is a balanced diet with highly digestible ingredients that provides the senior cat with all the nutrients required for a healthy life.
-The high quality and digestibility of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, ensures maximum absorption of nutrients from the diet, while faecal elimination is reduced.
-The moderately reduced level of protein and sodium, the increased level of potassium citrate and the production of a urinary pH of approximately 6.6 prevent the formation of calcium oxalate.
Additional Information.
- SPECIFIC FGD Senior contains high levels of vitamins A and E, which contribute to a better level of antioxidants, thus counteracting oxidative stress.
-The diet contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS), fermentable fiber that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon to promote the health of the gastrointestinal tract.
-Taurine is an important nutrient necessary for metabolism. It is necessary for normal myocardial function and the increased level of taurine and L-carnitine support heart muscle function in older cats.
-The level of omega-3 fatty acids and the omega-3:omega-6 ratio in SPECIFIC FGD Senior are relatively high compared to typical feline diets. Elevated levels of omega-3 fatty acids may have beneficial effects on, for example, kidney function, hypertension, blood lipids, and carcinogenesis.
-In cats receiving treatment with diuretics, the increased level of B vitamins and potassium in SPECIFIC FGD Senior can replace the extra urinary losses of these nutrients.

-Kittens and pregnant or lactating cats.
