Permethrin is a second generation synthetic pyrethroid that acts on the sodium channels of the axons of insects (fleas, ticks and insects) causing excitation, convulsion, paralysis and death of the insects.
External parasites in dogs caused by fleas: Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis and Pulex irritans.
Ticks: Dermacentor spp., Rhipicephalus spp. and Otobius megnini.
Lice: Linognathus spp.
Flies and mosquitoes repellent.

It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of external parasites in dogs, caused by ticks of the Rhipicephalus, Dermacentor and Amblyomma genera. Topical administration on the neck.
It is constituted by an external antiparasitic from the group of formamidines, which acts on the CNS of the mites, causing their abnormal behavior, with their detachment and death. It is released in a slow and controlled manner from the collar, depositing itself on the animal's fur.

Do not use in cats.
In case of accidental ingestion of the necklace, adrenergic-type symptoms will appear. In these situations, it is advisable to induce vomiting, administer a mild laxative and establish symptomatic treatment. As specific treatment, yohimbine or atipamezole will be administered, which act as antidotes to amitraz.
