Exo Terra's rocky environment is an easy to cut background with a great natural look. Creates an ideal multi-dimensional habitat for climbing reptiles or can simply be used to beautify the terrarium. Its color and texture are identical to the decoration of the natural terrariums of Exo Terra in order to create a harmonious environment, humid or dry.
The protrusions on the back are perfect for hiding cables or pump tubes or for electronic heat stones.
This background is made of black Styrofoam , so it will not be noticeable when it is accidentally damaged (with white Styrofoam the damage would be more obvious). Polystyrene has the advantage of offering insulation and is easy to cut to fix it in any terrarium.
The Exo Terra Terrarium is the ideal home for reptiles or amphibians designed by European herpetologists . Front doors allow easy access for maintenance and food supply. A special lock has been designed to prevent animals from escaping and the doors can be opened separately. The top vent screen lets in type "B" ultraviolet radiation (UVB) and infrared radiation and is fully removable for easy access while decorating or cleaning. On the back of the screen there are 5 inlet tubes on both sides that allow Heat Wave Rocks, Waterfalls, Sensors, etc. to be installed inside the terrarium. The bottom plate of the terrarium is raised; in this way it allows mounting a substrate heater that allows heating a part of the surface. (45x45cm). The fixed window at the front is ideal for thick layers of substrate (for burrowing reptiles), aquatic plants (paludariums), or for setting up an Exo Terra reptile burrow. The natural background is the same color as other Exo Terra decorations. (The Water Containers, the Waterfalls, the Heating Stones, etc.), and also provides an area where the reptiles can climb.
Important
- Make sure that all the components are present and there are no cracks in the glass that may have originated during transport.
- When partially filled with water, always unplug all submerged equipment before putting your hands in the water.
- Do not use glass cleaners or detergents to clean the inside of the tank.
All terrariums have been carefully inspected before packing; however, if the intentionis to create an ecosystem that contains aquatic areas or a paludarium, it is advisable to fill the terrarium with water up to 2 centimeters below the ventilation strip that is in front of it. Make sure the terrarium is placed on a dry surface so you can easily detect any water seepage.
Choose a place for your terrarium
Carefully select a permanent location for the tank. Choose an area whose temperature is 20-25 °C. Position the tank so it can receive indirect light , as direct sunlight can cause the temperature to rise drastically and should be avoided at all costs. Do not place the terrarium in areas where it is exposed to chemical fumes. Once the tank has been placed, you can start with the construction of the ecosystem.
